Ordering & Purchasing My Fine Art Photos

Currently, all purchasing of my framed fine art photographs and use of my stock photographs for commercial or editorial purposes is only available through personal contact with me. An e-commerce site will be added to the site in the future for your purchasing ease, but for now, please e-mail me at dan@haywardphoto.com or call me at 307 742-6307 for purchases or for more information.

About the Printing Processes and Limited Editions

LightJet Prints:

LightJet prints are made using a very high-resolution laser printer to expose light-sensitive photographic paper which is then chemically processed to develop the photographic image. LightJet prints are very stable and are archival. My LightJet prints can be ordered as small as 5x7 or as large as 50x120 inches, depending on each photograph. There are a number of framing options available for the LightJet prints. To inquire about sizes larger than 30 inches on the longest length, and about framing options, please contact me at dan@haywardphoto.com or call 307 742-6307.

Giclee' Prints:

My Giclee` prints are made with very high resolution ink jet printers using permanent archival inks on heavy archival watercolor paper. Prints are available as small as 11x14 inches and there are a number of framing options available for the Giclee' prints. To inquire about sizes larger than 30 inches on the longest length, and about framing options, please contact me at dan@haywardphoto.com or call 307 742-6307.

Ink Jet Prints:

My archival Ink Jet prints are made with high-resolution ink jet printers using permanent archival inks. I offer a couple different archival papers for the Ink Jet process. Prints are available as small as 5x7 inches and there are a number of framing options available for the Ink Jet prints. To inquire about sizes larger than 50 inches on the longest length, and about framing options, please contact me at dan@haywardphoto.com or call 307 742-6307.

Limited Editions:

Each of my prints are hand signed and numbered on the print and when the print’s border is not showing, I sign and number the print either in the border or elsewhere on the print. I offer my fine art clients three different printing processes to choose from (LightJet, Ink Jet and Giclee`) when ordering a framed Hayward Photograph.

Each photograph is printed in limited editions for each of these processes. Normally my editions are limited to 300 prints per edition, totaling 900 prints per photograph. Periodically, however, I offer some special photographs or prints in much smaller editions, usually between 25 and 50 prints (although some special editions will be as large as 100 prints and others will be limited to less than 25). I’ll announce these special editions to my art purchasing cliental first, via e-mail, and then to people on my other mailing lists.

Pricing

Pricing depends on a number of factors, including printing process used, format of the image itself and framing choices.

The prices listed below are for LightJet Prints. You can approximate the costs for a framed Giclee` print by adding an extra 12% to the costs for a framed LightJet print of equal size. Approximate framed Ink Jet print prices by subtracting 8% from the costs for a framed LightJet print of equal size.

Panorama format prints are priced by how many separate photographs were used to create the panorama. Please refer to the particular photograph’s catalogue number to determine the number of photographs used, which is a number from 2 to 5 followed by Pan or Pano, such as 2Pan or 5Pan. These refer to a 2 image and to a 5 image panorama. Framed panorama prices are found in the table corresponding with the number of images used to create the panorama and the length of the panorama. Notice that, as the number of images used for the panorama increases, the price decreases, because the print prices and framing materials used are reduced as the print becomes thinner.

Framing Options:

Matted prints are matted in acid-free archival white matt board and prints that are mounted are mounted archivally as well. Flush-framed prints are mounted and archivally as well and have a uv protective archival laminate on the print surface. The frame is then cut to fit over the mounted print itself.

My framed print prices listed below reflect retail prices for medium priced metal and wood frames. More expensive frames will be discussed and priced separately.

Other Presentation Options:

Other non-framing options are available for presenting your choice of fine art photographs. These include several mounting options that I am not able to present here. If you are interested in discussing these options, please contact me at dan@haywardphoto.com or call 307 742- 6307.

Spot Mounting:

Spot Mounting is used to flatten a print when it is being matted in the framing process. Larger prints can have some waviness to them and having them spot mounted completely flattens the print.

I have priced the spot mounting at cost to help keep total framing costs down. To price your total framing price, simply add the spot mounting price to the framing price you have selected and be sure to order the spot mounting at the time you order the print and framing.

Portrait Information & Prices

A few Notes About Portraits By Dan

First of all, LETS HAVE FUN making your Portrait!!! That's important to me, and ought to be important to you too. Toward that end;

  • You will earn a $20 finders fee for each direct referral from you who hires me to shoot their portrait.

  • Shoot your Down-n-Dirty or Premium Senior Portrait (see below for more info) with 2 or more other Seniors and I’ll take $20 off of each person’s $100 Portrait Sitting Fee, or $35 off of each person’s $225 Portrait Sitting Fee. We’ll shoot each of your separate Senior Portraits during the same photo session, at the same basic locations, AND, we can shoot some photos with all of you together for NO extra charge.

My Photography Background

My main photographic background is working as a commercial photographer for over 30 years, photographing people in the fashion, entertainment and corporate arenas. Commercial photography clients pay me to create the photographs, not for prints etc., and I’ve always carried that philosophy into my portrait work.

Consequently, I’ve created the pricing structure below. You pay me a bit more for the sitting fee and I keep my print prices low so you don’t have to keep paying more big money for the prints you want, ultimately saving you money in the long run.

Lastly, I guarantee my work and will re-shoot portraits when my client isn’t satisfied due to my error.
